摘要： 城市结构一直是城市生态学家特别关注的研究主题, 他们运用因素分析方法对其开展研究。沃斯首先提出了城市结构研究的生态因素指标, 在此基础上, 城市生态学家又创立了社会区域分析和因素生态学方法, 使其成为现代城市结构研究中的重要方法, 并为中国城市研究提供了有益的借鉴。
