摘要： 19世纪美国著名诗人沃尔特·惠特曼的《横过布鲁克林渡口》反映了城市化进程中所面临的共同问题:人们在城市变迁中的身份迷失。惠特曼通过重新审视城市和认知城市,解决了自我身份的重新建构问题,即将自己与整个城市等同,建构出一个既具有普遍性,又不失特殊性的新身份,从而与整个城市一起与时俱进,并随着城市的发展完善了自我,实现了自我。
